Who we are
Kananook Krocs Basketball Club is a Basketball Victoria–registered community basketball club and is proud to be an official partner of Kananook Primary School.
We are a volunteer-run club that values diversity, inclusion, and belonging. We provide junior domestic competition through the Chelsea and District Basketball Association, along with senior domestic teams across multiple local associations, ensuring pathways for players at every stage of their basketball journey.
Kananook Krocs proudly supports people with disabilities to join our teams and inclusive programs, offering 1:1 coaching, skill development, and individual support to help people with disabilities build confidence and transition into basketball.
We are also committed to developing leadership and representation within our club. We have a Youth Advisory Group, and we actively encourage our junior players to nominate and have a voice in how our club runs. We welcome people with disabilities to sit on our committee and to participate in a wide range of volunteer roles, recognising the value of lived experience, diverse perspectives, and inclusive leadership.
At our core, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to play, learn, lead, and have fun in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment, regardless of ability, background, or experience. For us, basketball is more than a sport; it’s a pathway to confidence, connection, and community.
